When will my competition time be scheduled?
All participants will be notified after the registration deadline for scheduling. The competition typically takes place between 3:00 - 8:30 pm.
May I arrive early to warm up?
Practice rooms will be available to participants 30 minutes prior to their scheduled competition time. Because of room availability, participants will not be able to use a room prior to 30 minutes before their scheduled time.
Do I need a pianist?
Yes. There are many factors involved in winning a concerto competition. The winner will play with an orchestra. The judges need to see that the participants have experience playing with other musicians and can play in tune and in time with an ensemble.
