The New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra is excited to announce a new ensemble called Historical Performance. Led by Artistic Director Warren Cohen, this group began as a summer chamber option in 2021. After a long break from playing due to Covid precautions, NJIO members were excited to play again and ready to try something new!
Back by popular demand, an additional 4 session Historical Performance class will be offered this October. Classes will take place on alternating Saturdays (October 2, 16, 30, and November 13) from 11 - 1pm.
Modern instruments welcome, baroque instruments encouraged! Music will be tuned to 415. String players will tune their strings down a half step, music will be written to accommodate 440 winds and brass.
