Joe Gluck

NJIO is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Gluck as it’s new Music Director and Conductor. Joe was formerly a first violinist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He is currently concertmaster with the Summit Symphony and the Summit Chorale Orchestra. He is founder and a violinist with The Stirling String Quartet and The Stirling Duo, and conductor of the Stirling Chamber Orchestra. He has coached at the New Jersey Youth Symphony since 1979 and the Ethical Cultural Amateur Chamber Music Workshop since 1990, which he founded and where he is currently the Music Director. He has taught violin for more than 30 years and lectured extensively throughout the state, including leading the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Conversations series.  Joe also played with the Detroit Symphony and the St. Louis Symphony.  He has been associated with the NJIO since its inception, he has appeared as soloist, served as an advisor and presently is on the Board of Trustees.
